Gluten-Free Blogs

I am always on the hunt for new gluten-free recipes and information. My entire family is either celiac or gluten intolerant. I’ve been cooking this way for 6+ years. It has gotten easier over the years as more and more companies realize that there are quite a few of us gluten-free folks out there. But if you don’t want to spend 2-3 times the amount for a small box of cookies or a loaf of bread, it is good to learn how to cook and bake your own food. Much healthier too. Below are some gluten-free blogs you might want to check out. Leave your comments or suggestions. I enjoy the dialogue. And if you have questions about gluten-free living, I’m happy to provide whatever information I can.

The Whole Life Nutrition Kitchen
We are all celiacs and now I need to make sure we have a low purine diet. Ack! Somehow I found this blog and what a god-send!! Their recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free, and are involve a lot of low purine foods. I cooked strictly from this site for one week and we all felt so much better. More energy, not so heavy after eating, eating smaller portions while feeling sated, and remarkably, outdoor allergens were not an issue. I highly recommend this site.

Learning how to bake gluten-free takes time, practice, and experimentation. Figuring out all the kinds of flours you can use with what results is the most challenging and fun part of baking. Check out this blog for some fun ideas.

Gluten Free Mommy http://glutenfreemommy.com/
I like the way this blogger provides full recipes and recipes that she has converted to gluten-free. The more you cook, the more you realize you can adapt your old recipes to gluten-free. Gluten Free Mommy can help you get started on that path.

Gluten Free Chicks http://glutenfreemommy.com/
Get recipes and more on how to live a gluten free life, here and abroad. Don’t be scared! You can do it.

Elena’s Pantry http://www.elanaspantry.com/
Elena provides gluten free paleo recipes. I’m not too sure about this paleo diet. I believe in evolution, but I’m willing to say there could be some truth to it. Besides, Elena’s recipes look awesome.

The Pioneer Woman http://thepioneerwoman.com/
Okay, she isn’t gluten free. BUT, I have noticed that many of the gluten free bloggers like to adapt her recipes. AND she is a friend. So, you Go Ree!
